Fenton Global (FG) is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy explains how we use the information we collect about you, how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information and procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.

The main principles of our Code of Conduct on Data Protection are:

  1. FG makes every effort to comply with data protection legislation, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in regard to the protection of individuals with regard to processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, but also any other applicable national regulations on data protection. To comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, our firm has established and implemented a code of conduct on data protection that ensures that our collection of contact and account data across the EU will satisfy personal data privacy guidelines. Our office complies with the stringent standards of this regulation and we request our clients to respect the same safeguards.
  2. FG collects personal data from individuals in the course of our work in order to be able to provide services as an executive search firm. We only register data for the purposes of our executive search activities. Typically, this data comprises of what is included in a standard curriculum vitae/resume, (e.g., name, job function, address, telephone number, e-mail address, prior employment history, degrees and other qualifications, languages and other relevant skills). It also may include interview notes, comments from referees and a record of our contacts with individuals. In addition, our data may also include biographical details found in the public domain as well as information gained from private sources.
  3. We gather this information to allow us to process your registration, process any applications you may make and identify suitable employment opportunities. The relevant information is then used by us to match your requirements and to communicate with you via phone, email, letter on any matter relating to the conduct of your applications and the provision of the service in general.
  4. As a matter of policy, we do not keep or process sensitive information (e.g., data on racial/ethnic origin, health, sexual orientation, political opinions, religious/philosophical beliefs, trade union membership). If an individual provides this information, he or she will be required to give explicit consent for us to hold such information. All information collected/provided to us is entered into our proprietary records. Only FG employees have access to this data, which is used only for the purposes of executive recruitment and directly related services.
  5. Any individual who sends us an unsolicited resume should be aware that this information might be added to our records. If an individual does not wish this to happen, we regret that we will be unable to assist him or her in efforts to find a new job role.
  6. All FG employees undergo training on data privacy and security and are required to comply with our strict internal standards in these areas by FG.
  7. We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.
  8. We use “cookies” to manage your use of our website. Cookies are small files that your Web browser places on your computer’s hard drive. This allows us to identify pages you visit, how often you return and how many people visit our site. You can set your browser to limit the use of “cookies” or not to accept them. A “cookie” is technology that allows our site to store tokens of information (an ‘identifier’) in your browser used only by our site while you are on our site. Cookies are not used to determine the personal identity of anyone merely visiting Fentonglobal.com. They help us track traffic patterns so that we know which areas of our site users like/don’t like.
  9. The Internet is not a secure medium. However we have put in place various security procedures to protect your personal information. We also keep your information confidential. The internal procedures of FG cover the storage, access and disclosure of your information. Access to your information is limited by need, and those who have access to the data have agreed to maintain the confidentiality of such information.

If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages of the website, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times. We will also e-mail you should we make any changes so that you may consent to our use of your information in that way. Continued use of the service will signify that you agree to any such changes.

Owing to the global nature of the Internet infrastructure, the information you provide may be transferred in transit to countries outside the European economic area that do not have similar protections in place regarding your data and its use as set out in this policy. However, we have taken the steps outlined above to try to improve the security of your information. By submitting your information you consent to these transfers.
  12. We are committed to keeping your e-mail address confidential. We do not sell, rent, or lease our subscription lists to third parties, and we will not provide your personal information to any third party individual, government agency, or company at any time unless strictly compelled to do so by law. We will use your e-mail address solely to provide timely information about either relevant roles for collaboration work. We will maintain the information you send via e-mail in accordance with applicable federal law.
  13. In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all e-mail sent from our organisation will clearly state who the e-mail is from, and provide clear information on how to contact the sender.
  14. Our site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us by replying with unsubscribe in the header of any e-mail reply.
